Apple Pie Good Girl Moon Shine

Fall is just around the corner and so are all the yummy sweet drinks! 
Let's not fall in the trap, that we can't enjoy them too!


INGREDIENTS:

1 cup hot water
 1/2 tsp Pyure sweetener
1 drop cinnamon vitality essential oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Put 1 tea bag in 1 cup of steaming hot water until steeped well.
  2. Add 1 tsp apple cider vinegar,  Pyure,  cinnamon vitality EO, and 1/2 tsp caramel extract.
  3. Stir and enjoy!

Black Cherry GGMS: THM

Are you tired of just drinking water? Here is a sipper to enjoy throughout the day!  


INGREDIENTS:

1 Black Cherry tea bag
2 cups water
2 cups of ice
1 TBS  Apple Cider Vinegar
Pyure sweetener to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Put 1 tea bag in a 32 oz cup and pour in 1 cup hot water in the jar. (Want it to steep water bob the tea bag up and down for 2-3 minutes. )
  2. Remove tea bag and add 1 cup of cold water 
  3. Add 1 TBS apple cider vinegar and add Pyure to taste.
  4. Stir, and fill the cup the rest of the way with ice


Tip:

***If you want it to be fizzy add carbonated water instead regular water *** 


This is a THM Fuel Pull ( FP). Enjoy this any time throughout the day! I work to increase the apple cider vinegar to 3 TBS as my body allows.

3 tips to reach your weight loss goal when life gets chaotic without completely giving up

Does it seem like life has been pretty foggy these days? Everything is so confusing and you don’t know what to believe. The dense fog has your mind swarming. 

One thing for sure is that the fog will come and it will GO. Our life can have thick fog, paralyzing ourselves from moving forward. We become debilitated and our progress is stunted. 

Here are 3 tips to continue to move forward on your healthy eating plan when life gets foggy without completely giving up. 

  • Just like when you are driving a car, turn your fog lights on and look at the next step right in front of you. You can’t see very far in the fog. When life is swarming and the thought of ever being able to reach your goal of having peace about your body image seems out of reach, I urge your momma friend to drop your head down and look at your feet. The next step right in front of you is do able, the finish line may not be in sight but it’s still there. The fog will lift, the storm you are going through will pass by, and the finish line will still be there. Your best next step is to drink water and eat a meal that is on plan to nourish your body.


  • When the fog comes in, we naturally slow down. Slowing down is for our safety and protection. On our healthy eating journey and finding peace with who you are it’s okay to slow down. Please hear me correctly, slowing down doesn’t mean permission to eat all the junk food. It simply means to make simple meals, repeat meals more often so you don’t have to think about it. Have grab and go snacks that’s on the nine day protocol to stay the course. Drink water and lots of it. One of my favorite go to meals is bag salad and rotisserie chicken. Of course, eating Lily’s chocolate for dessert is my go-to.

  • Call a friend. I could shout this from the roof tops again and again. Our family and friends can see past the fog in our life. They can see the finish line and cheer us on the course. My friend Angela knows my goals. I send her a quick Marco polo letting her know I’m in the fog. She asks me how it feels, and what next step I need to take to move forward. For a moment, I can think rationally and take my best next step.
Bonus tip: if you have found yourself in the fog and you turned away from your goal, girl I get it! Take a deep breathe, know that who you are is not where you are, (that's from Heather, a mentor of mine). Pick back up with the next meal. Forget the “I start tomorrow” and move forward with “I am a new creation NOW.”

or is it PEACE that your heart truly longs for?



The kids are screaming, the house is a mess, your sitter cancelled for tomorrow, and the thought of having to make dinner because your husband had to work late to save the world makes you want to curl up in a ball and cry.

The littles are hungry so no time for tears, because the dog just peed on the floor. Momma friend, it’s not Coke and Big Mac you are after, it’s peace. It’s a breath of fresh air for your soul. It’s a moment to sit in silence while the kids are eating that allows everything to be still for just a moment.


Food was never meant to be our comfort. God is! Each time we turn to food for a temporary high, yep I’m calling it that. Our food addiction has become the forgivable sin that never gets talked about inside the four walls on Sunday morning. God talks about it a lot.

He cares for your freedom. Running to food instead of Him will derail you Every. Single. Time. Then what happens after you finish that last sip of the best tasting coke in town? The thoughts of guilt, shame, and complete despair. The very thing you were running to, is the thing that for a moment brings delight, but the next second will come. The lies of I can never have freedom over this, floods your mind. Peace is further away than what it was before you pulled into the drive thru.

The next time you are triggered to run to food for your comfort use it an indication it’s time to get quiet and pray. Put on a worship song, lock yourself in the bathroom and let His presence flood the room. Take the biggest deep breath. Breathe in peace and exhale overwhelm. Put your breathing on repeat about 4-5 times and you will be a new woman.

Now, it’s time for dinner and you still want a nourishing meal that satisfy those taste buds while shrinking your double chin… Have a cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce with grilled onions, mayo, tomato, and pickle. Enjoy that with some buttered green beans and two rows of lily’s chocolate. (this is trim healthy mama S, Keto, and gluten free).

Can journaling really help me lose weight?


There are many things that can lead to success. The greatest success book ever written says " Rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 A heart of gratitude will bring us out of a slump. It shifts our mindset from the negative thing we are worried about to the positive thing we are forgetting about. Too many times, I have slipped into the hamster wheel of my mind racing and focusing on the problem at hand rather than finding a solution. 
 
Setting yoru intentions for the day and reviewing how the day went at night before your head hits the pillow keeps your aligned with my goals. The Five Minute Journal helps you start the day off right by having things to be grateful for before your feet hit the floor. 
 
From gratitude it moves into 3 things you need to accomplish. The big to do list that is never ending will only keep you stuck. Narrowing down what 3 things need to happen to move forward towards your goal will always move the needle in the right direction. 
 
At the end of the day, refocusing on what you were grateful for and evaluating what could have made the day better helps you gear your mind to make simple and small changes the next day.
 
No imagine applying this tool to weight loss and healthy eating. Using it to focus on how you did with fueling your body well and keeping your goal at the center of your day can catapult you into achieving your goal! Doing the simple steps consistently day after day after day will get you to the finish line of victory.
